Just call me Kell.

I decided to become a counselor about eight years ago, when I realized just how powerful “just talking to someone” really was for my mental health. I had been battling major depression and anxiety—something that runs deep in my family—and was often told it was genetic, with medication being my best shot at feeling better. While medication helped, it was therapy that truly changed my life. It felt like the fog finally lifted, and for the first time in a long time, I could actually see a future. After that experience, I knew I had to help others feel that same kind of relief.

In 2020, I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stevenson University, where I focused my senior thesis on suicide prevention and even developed a QPR training program. That same year, I packed up my life—just $80 in my pocket and everything I owned in my Toyota RAV4—and moved to Florida to chase my dream. I worked multiple jobs while pushing through grad school and interning at a private practice.

In 2024, I graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. This year, I proudly opened Transitions Mental Health and Wellness with a mission to help young adults reconnect with themselves and experience life with more clarity, purpose, and joy.

I hope to hear from you soon!
